Birthday girl

Hello!

So, this is what I wore to my birthday party, which my family and I organized on 14/06/13. My real 18th birthday is on 27/06, but we had to make it earlier.

This June has been disastrous, so far. Firstly, I got mononucleosis on the 01/06 and then a really bad tonsillitis. I had to go to the hospital twice a day since the beginning of June. I had high temperature every day, even on the day of my birthday. We wanted to cancel it, but I managed to prepare myself and show up... And it was amazing! I had such a great time and so did my friends and family. Since then, everything started to get better, even my condition with the illnesses.
As you know, there are always bad periods in our lives. However, they always happen for a reason, so that good things can come afterwards. I got 2 offers for my college in the USA. I will keep this as a secret, until it is over and then I'll let you know. One of them is almost surreal, you won't believe it! And it is probably the one I'm going to accept.

Well, this is my outfit of the day. A green maxi skirt and, a trendy top (which is buttoned down at the back) and Converse sneakers (DIY studs). As for the accessories, I have 2 rings - gold cross and gold peace symbol.

Interview with a Fashion Icon: Flavia Desgranges van der Linden

She's interesting, intelligent, stunning, a graduated lawyer, a photographer, a model, an artist, a fashion icon and much more.
Meet Flavia Desgranges van der Linden.

Me: So, tell us a bit about yourself!
Flavia: I am 25 years old and I currently live in Santa Carina, Brazil but I am originally from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. My only work is my blog, which means I spend most of my time preparing the posts, always taking care of my readers and looking for more inspiration... And I love it.
Whenever I'm not on the computer I go running, but I also like listening to music (I adore it) and watching movies.

Me: How did you first get interested in fashion?
Flavia: I used to love photography and I had a self portrait gallery at Deviantart a couple of years ago! Later, I discovered streetstyle blogs and sites like Lookbook and absolutely loved the idea of posting my own looks, so I decided to give it a try. With so many pics and details of the outfits that I would like to show, I had to create my own blog in 2010.

Me: How do you define your style?
Flavia: I never really know how to describe my style and if you check my looks you will totally understand me. I don’t have a specific style, I like to play with everything and try different things without having a fear that something won't fit my style.

Me: Do you have any other bloggers or style icons who inspire you?
Flavia: There are so many inspiring people, but I especially like 'real people' all over the world in street style pictures and blogs, like Pandora, Columbine Smile, Stockholm Street Style etc.

Me: Can you reveal some interesting facts we don't know?
Flavia: I am short, most people think that I'm tall, but they are so wrong! I have graduated in law and I didn't like fashion very much at first (only when I turned 22 I got interested).

Me: Have you got any plans for the future?
Flavia: I must admit that I don't like making plans for the future... My life is completely different from everything I could have ever expected and it couldn't be better, so let's see what happens!

Me: How can your fans get in touch with you?
Flavia: I'm actually active on a couple of websites. I have my own blog, FashionCoolture, and a Facebook page. People can also check out and hype my looks on my Lookbook! See you on my blog! :)
